The Care Database started its life within the hospice sector. The Care Database began life as a small, custom-built system by Shooting Star Children's Hospices back in the year 2000. It wasn't long before other children's hospices started to licence the software from Shooting Star. We have continued to develop so that our functionality reflects the changing services provided by these critical organisations.
Listening to the feedback of our users is key to getting this right. Developing in this way has resulted in a system which provides a safe care management platform alongside the KPI and financial reporting elements.
A key requirement for the adult sector is our powerful, real-time access to NHS data through the MIG, provided by Healthcare Gateway.
